Eshoo Announces Extension of Deadline for Wildfire Disaster Assistance
PALO ALTO, CA – Representative Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA) announced today that the deadline to apply for federal assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) has been extended to November 21st for ten counties in California, including San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz Counties.
“Tens of thousands of my constituents have had their lives turned upside down by a historic wildfire season and they need all the help they deserve to receive,” said Rep. Eshoo. “The rebuilding process after a devastating wildfire can take years and extending the deadline to apply for critical federal assistance will give families the extra time they need to take stock of the damage and receive the support they deserve. I’m so grateful to the State of California and FEMA for this extension.”
