Yesterday, Rep. Eshoo spoke with Kitty Felde, correspondent for KPCC and NPR, about her efforts to save the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM) loan program, a highly successful bipartisan program to help produce highly fuel efficient, advanced technology vehicles or components, which was on the chopping block to pay for disaster relief funding.
Rep. Eshoo has been fighting to preserve the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM), a successful job-creating program that was passed and funded with bipartisan support. Reps. Eshoo and Peters sent a letter to Speaker John Boehner with 77 Members of Congress, urging him to not cut $1.5 billion from the ATVM Program.
