Rep Anna Eshoo

U.S. Security Assistance to Ukraine

Standing with Ukraine

On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin ordered a full-scale invasion of Ukraine by land, sea, and air, triggering the worst security crisis in Europe since World War II. Russia’s unprovoked assault on Ukraine is an attack on democracy and a grave violation of human rights and international law.

Congresswoman Eshoo has voted for every bill to provide security assistance to Ukraine as they defend their democracy, and she will continue to. As of January 2023, the U.S. has provided more than $24 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since Russia’s invasion, including the following weapons and military equipment:

  • Over 1,600 Stinger anti-aircraft weapons
  • Over 46,500 anti-tank weapons
  • Over 2,500 armed drones
  • Over 230 Howitzer cannons with more than one million artillery rounds
  • One Patriot air defense battery and munitions
  • 2,000 Tube-Launched, Optically Tracked, Wire-Guided (TOW) missiles, high-speed anti-radiation missiles (HARMs), and laser-guided rocket systems
  • 38 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) and ammunition
  • 8 National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS)
  • 20 military helicopters
  • 45 tanks
  • Hundreds of Armored Humvee Vehicles
  • Over 530 mine-resistant vehicles
  • 300 M113 Armored Personnel Carriers
  • Over 13,000 grenade launchers and small arms
  • Communications, radar, and intelligence equipment.

As Russia continues its brutal onslaught against Ukraine, Rep. Eshoo remains deeply committed to providing maximum U.S. support for Ukraine with robust security assistance, lifesaving humanitarian aid, and crippling sanctions on the Putin regime.
